REPOST! dolf: death of the lace front (let that b#$% breathe)...

Image
This is a re-post with a hilarious video that was sent to me by one of my fav HairyKat Followers! Check out this video, then have a read.... I have no right to judge anyone, their style or what makes them feel comfortable and confident but Damnit Im tired of these lacefront violators. Its an injustice to the hair weaves and full head weaves waiting to be worn or even that natural hair that just wants to breathe. So here's why I hate them....ahem. 1. Who's natural hairline is really shaped like that? isnt the point to make it look natural! Were bangs not applicable? I'm just saying since WHEN is your hairline supposed to touch your eyebrows ...confused 2. Are baby hairs mandatory when wearing a lacefront? AND Since when are baby hairs on grown people acceptable. I want to knock the hell out of Chilli's grown self with those baby hairs on her 40 year old face so the Lacefront violators send me through the roof 3. They require forehead makeup...Have you ever put found...

are you the next "ahairican idol"?

The stage is set. The lights are bright your family is in the audience screaming your name while the rest of America is cheering because that guy with the sign that says "applause"walks on stage " just walked by. You've waited in line for this...audition after audition and now you're in the top 10. Your spolight comes on and you show the world what you're made of. Good, quality...HAIR! That's right! Its been a while but I'm back and ready to spill the beans about my hair adventures. I have yet again found a new hair. Its called take a wild guess "Idol" Its pretty good and in an affordable price range... I mean Ive been known to be a supreme penny pincher but I dont mind spending 60 bucks a pack on quality hair...that's for 10inch, if you want to go longer than of course you'll pay a little more. It goes up to 18inches which is about 100 bucks a pack...I like thick hair so I use two packs of hair. I've had it in for a wee...

hairykat quick pick # 3: I FOUND A NEW HAIR BRAND

Image
I don't know about you all but I'm on a budget so I always look for good quality hair for a reasonable price. Its true that the number of times I buy hair I could probably invest in some really good indian tracks but since I switch my style up so often I need something affordable that will last for 2-3 weeks. I found a new hair called Starwest. It only came in 18" and 1B which actually looks like a 1 but hey at $39.99 per pack I couldnt pass it by. I'm sure the supply store I go to probably sold it at a low price because they didnt realize that its some quality hair. Its doing its job so far. The pack says Tangle free...but don't they all? lol Ask your local store if they carry Starwest hair! So far so good! I even took a nap on it without wrapping it and it was still in place when I woke up. (we all know I DO NOT sleep pretty) I'm loving it! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO! ------->starwest hair

Pat your weave ladies, then gon dust your shoulders off???

Image
That jigga, so supportive...once we're done patting our weaves as Bey instructs, hov gives us permission to dust our shoulders off? But if your shoulders are starting to look like an El Nino weather system gone bad chances are your scalp needs some treatment. Even though the hair grows from the shaft; healthy shafting and hair follicles promote healthy scalp and ultimately healthy hair.   Lets go back to the basics...hair is similar to a plant and how do  plants grow?? through nourished and cared for ROOTS! the more the root is cared for the better the plant looks, correct? Ok...now that we're on the same page let's try and figure out some causes and elixirs to why your shoulders look like someone finished a bag of Lays and wiped the crumbs on your shoulder....lol Generally speaking those with coarser hair tend to not wash our hair everyday. Rule of thumb is once every week or week and a half depending on how often you sweat, the climate you live in, and of cours...
